An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Logistics Manager to join an internationally established manufacturing organisation based in Staffordshire.
The successful Assistant Logistics Manager will be joining a leading automotive manufacturer where you will have the opportunity to further progress your managerial career and responsibilities as the role will be responsible for Materials, Planning and Logistics Functions.
The Assistant Logistics Manager will be responsible for the life cycle of stock from supply through to despatch.
Further reponsibilities will include:
*Managing all the activities within the logistics department including materials scheduling, production planning and shop floor logistics.
*Ensure the integrity of stock accuracy at all times
*Work with production departments to ensure adherence to schedule
*Ensure the ERP and MRP systems are in place and maintained accurately
*Set KPIs and ensure they are achieved in relation to volume output, quality standards and timescales.
*Ensure supplier management and customer liaison
*Strategic Planning with the rest of the management team by
*Actively promote and drive a culture of continuous improvement
*Effectively performance manage all employees
Ideally, candidates will be degree qualified and have extensive experience of working within the automotive arena in a similar capacity.
The Assistant Logistics Manager should be able to demonstrate a strong leadership and continuous improvement philosophy/background. Excellent communication, organisation and forward planning skills are a must have.
