We need a highly motivated individual with the desire to make a difference with a proven track record in a similar role delivering continuous improvement, excellent organising, communication and influencing skills with the ability to analyse data and provide reports. If you have a National CPC in road haulage that's great but not essential, ideally you will be working towards gaining it though.
Organise your driver team and fleet of 32ft vehicles to ensure adequate staffing and performance levels are achieved and that the transport operations achieve customer service levels
Ensure the transport operation runs safely and is compliant with all "O" licence regulations.
Effective planning and utilising of the fleet to its maximum potential
Work to maintain workload in line with targets for vehicles under your control for both internal and external clients
Work with the Transport Manager ensuring the fleet is regularly serviced and the MOT schedule is adhered to
Motivate and instruct Drivers
Keep track of licences for Driver duties.
Maintain and plan works with Sales, Production and external clients.
Arrange external transport and other services as required.
Liaise with Sales on an ongoing basis from receipt of initial enquiries through to post project, providing feedback on any omissions and or additions required to original order
You will be a key member of a small team working 40 hours per week, shift pattern, between 08:00 to 17:30 Monday to Thursday and between 08:00 to 17:00 on Fridays
