Event Logistics Manager (Temporary Up To 12 Months)
£30,671- £36,084 (dependent on experience)
The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. We are looking for a motivated Event Logistics Manager to join the RNLI’s Event Logistics Team for up to 12 months.
As our Event Logistics Manager, your primary responsibility will be planning and delivering a portfolio of safe, compliant and customer focused events supporting our internal clients to achieve their aims; this can include but is not limited to exhibitions, fundraising events and volunteer recognition events.
In terms of logistics this is very much a “hands on” role, so we are looking for someone that is equally adept at packing, loading and driving event vehicles for build-up and breakdown as planning, co-ordinating and networking at events.
As RNLI events can be based anywhere in the UK or Republic of Ireland, we are looking for an independent individual who is happy to travel for work.
To be considered, you will need:
- Experience of planning, managing and delivering complex events and exhibitions
- The ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of project management procedures, event resources and best practice
- A degree or equivalent
- A valid driving licence
The ideal Event Logistics Manager will have previous fundraising experience and/or experience of working with volunteers, donors, high profile supporters and stakeholders. An event management qualification or equivalent experience would also be beneficial.
The closing date for this role is the 30th December 2018.
Our staff and volunteers have been saving lives at sea without prejudice for nearly 200 years. We respect and value diversity of background, skills and perspectives within our teams, and consider it essential to help us deliver a world-class lifesaving service. We are an inclusive organisation and welcome applications from everyone. In addition to having the skills needed for the role, we also look for applicants who share our commitment to living our RNLI values (trustworthy, courageous, selfless, and dependable), and helping us work towards our goals of halving drowning in the UK and Ireland by 2024. This involves a growing commitment to preventative action, using our expertise to work in partnership with communities locally, nationally and internationally to prevent drowning.
