You will be working within a brand-new manufacturing facility, for a well-established business which strives to produce an exceptional range of high quality, great tasting products. The purpose of the Interim Logistics Manager is to support the smooth and efficient operation of the finished goods warehouse and distribution processes within the business
You will organise the storage and distribution of goods, ensure that the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at a good cost plus be heavily involved in transportation, stock control, warehousing and monitoring the flow of goods.
You will be able to react to problems quickly and will enjoy working within a fast-paced environment. Ideally educated to a degree level in a logistics, supply chain or relevant discipline, you will possess a strong supply chain track record within the food manufacturing industry. You will be a creative problem solver, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills plus be customer focused. You will be IT literate, especially Excel and chilled foods experience is a benefit.
The Interim Logistics Manager job is based in the Home Counties / East Midlands region and is paying a highly competitive day rate plus expense. This is an interim contract whilst the business recruits for a permanent candidate.
