Burnley manufacturer seeks a Logistics professional to manage their end to end global logistics, including ecommerce.

This newly created role is an exciting opportunity to make your mark within an established manufacturer and distributor experiencing consistent growth. The business is constantly changing and a forward-thinking logistics professional is now sought to ensure the smooth day- to-day running of the global logistics operations and support the company through the latest stages of its development and beyond.

The job holder will ensure that an efficient and cost effective logistics service is consistently provided. You will manage and co-ordinate 3PL contractor activities across all modes of transport – sea, road and air - and be the main interface with fulfilment providers, freight forwarders, groupage operators and final-mile carriers as well as internal stakeholders within Manufacturing, Procurement; Finance; IT and other Supply Chain functions. It goes without saying that you will have an understanding of the end-to-end supply chain including forecasting, stock control, warehousing, monitoring the flow of goods etc. and will be accustomed to liaising with a network of suppliers.

Your outstanding commercial and analytical skills along with your proven track record in planning and monitoring will ensure that KPIs are achieved and the logistics function meets expectations.
You will be the driving force behind performance improvements and your on-going analysis of the flow of goods will enable you to identify and implement the most effective and cost efficient approach that is fully compliant with legal requirements.

We seek candidates with strong analytical skills, high levels of attention to detail and the capacity to provide fast and accurate information. It also goes without saying that you will have a strong financial acumen and previous experience of managing logistics costs. Moreover, you will be a charismatic leader with excellent communication skills and strong influencing and negotiating abilities. Excellent PC skills are essential, especially Excel. .
