An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Risk and Compliance Manager to join a dynamic and progressive law firm based in the Camberley area.
This is a brand new position reporting to the COLP.
You will be responsible for managing the firm's complete risk and compliance programme which will include:
Performance of the day to day tasks delegated by the Executive team and regular liaison with these postholders
Assisting staff with conduct questions (e.g. conflicts) and reporting;
Assisting staff with AML questions and reporting;
Complaints and claims management;
Practicing certificate renewals;
Review, monitoring and updates of firm’s policies & procedures;
Performance of file verifications and associated follow ups;
Compliance record keeping, monitoring and reporting;
Running new starter compliance sessions and embedding good practice;
Creation and delivery of bespoke compliance training for staff;
Compliance audits; and
General compliance awareness activities.
This role is an internal compliance role and does not involve client case work.
To carry out this role it would be expected that you would have a wealth of experience in a similar legal risk and compliance role with full, up to date knowledge of risk and compliance requirements for the legal profession.
