Logistics Manager / Inventory Manager / Materials Manager
I am currently searching for a suitable applicant with recent experience in inventory or materials management to fulfil the vacancy of Group Logistics Manager.
The role has recently become vacant to support the Group Supply Chain Director in optimising the companys hire fleet inventory of capital equipment across 3 UK locations and several in Europe.
The company are a £60m TO business employing 250 staff, mainly in the UK, but 50 in Europe. They are owned by a large international corporation but run independently.
It is envisaged the successful Logistics Manager will be highly organised with excellent communication skills at all levels with working knowledge of MRP, SIOP methodologies and an expert on spreadsheets MS Excel
A go getter who is hands on and gets the job done
A background in inventory management or materials management is essential.
Hire / rental / lease experience would be particularly welcome.
You may have worked for a manufacturer moving goods / materials / assets around UK and Europe in a position inventory manager, materials manager , logistics manager, logistics planner or similar.
Inventory planning and management of hire fleet of equipment throughout UK and Europe (SIOP)
Ensure systems and processes for each depot to maintain accurate inventory levels
Manage transport providers and associated costs, service levels
Management of annual stock-take
Management of disposal, repair, modification of equipment, spares stock and purchasing new equipment
Report; cash-flow, in service, in repair, on hire
Extensive benefits package including salary £34k - £38k
Contribution based pension (6%)
25 days + Bank Holidays
