This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Logistics Manager to join an established business. Permanent position with a salary of around £28K - £34K (+ Bonus) depending on qualifications and experience.
Develop and deliver effective stock control strategies and performance for the business.
These will help to deliver improvement, in line with company strategy and targets, maximising company profit through stock availability.
Liaise with suppliers about expediting and pricing of goods and update the system accordingly.
Liaise with staff reference delivery and storage conditions.
Co-ordinate and oversee inventory audits across the business.
Create weekly and daily stock orders for all items required to assist with production.
Review of departmental procedures to promote best practice.
Must have previous experience in similar role.
Stock control experience is essential.
Exceptional time management skill, a forward thinker with the capability to plan ahead with strong organisational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work under pressure, with the aptitude to think on your feet and resolve issues that may arise.
Excellent communication and IT skills, being proficient with applications such as MS office.
Previous experience of managing/supervising a team of warehouse personnel.
