Our client is looking for an experienced, motivated and dynamic Loading Bay Logistics Manager to join their growing team in their North West London showroom. This person will be a highly organised, focused individual who wants to work in a creative company and has proven experience managing a despatch or logistics team.

Reporting to our Senior Operations & HR Manager, as Logistics Manager you will be responsible for a growing team of 5 loading bay operatives with a focus on despatch. You would be joining the company management team and liaising with colleagues in sales and operations.

The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys a fast-paced role, is excited at the thought of managing a core department in the business and loves working with clients and beautiful products in equal measure.

Main Duties

Assessing daily despatch requirements and providing collection time schedules for all hires.
Prioritise team workload and ensure collection times are met.
Process job status using our booking software to ensure information is accurate and up-to-date.
Working with the sales team regarding client requests following company guidelines.
Oversee problem-solving and provide support on all packing and despatch issues.
Oversee PAT testing process and training.
Line Management of a busy team run appraisals and set objectives.
Support and mentor relevant team leaders.
Oversee team training to ensure all company procedures are followed.
Recruitment, development, motivation and retention of team members.
Collaborate with management colleagues to uphold productive internal communication and review and improve systems.
Work with the Ops & Facilities Manager to ensure health and safety protocol is followed.
Ensure company brand and customer relation guidelines are maintained.

Requirements

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in managing a team.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage a team.
A positive communicator with proven experience of working in logistics.
A focused individual with the ability to maintain a calm professional attitude in a fast-paced working environment.
A dynamic candidate with the ability to respond to changing deadlines.
Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and professionalism at all times.
A brand ambassador who will role-model our customer service guidelines at all times.
Excellent computing, language and numerical skills.
A keen interest in working for a company with a strong established brand and values
