Are you a Logistics Manager with strong people management skills and proven success of implementing a new ERP system? We have an exciting opportunity to join a market leading manufacturing company at their site in Stoke on Trent as a Logistics Manager. Salary £35-40k dependent on experience plus excellent benefits working 8am-5pm Mon-Thu, finishing at 4pm on Fridays.
As Logistics Manager you will be managing a small team of 5 including the Warehouse Manager. You will be overseeing the implementation of a new ERP system as well as developing an operational strategy, so experience in this is crucial. You will have responsibility for the stock management process; ensuring physical stock levels and location align with the ERP. Good communication skills are a must as you will manage carrier relationships and be liaising with suppliers.
Proven experience at Logistics or Operations Manager level is required from a manufacturing background, with a firm approach to people management, excellent knowledge of logistics and distribution, and the ability to manage change are all key factors for this role. Any experience in the implementation of an ERP system or Electronic Scanning/Barcoding system would be advantageous. You must have managed a successful logistics operation with limited support.
