Logistics Manager

Asahi UK is more than just a beer company. We are the leading super-premium beer business in the UK driven through a compelling brand proposition including Asahi Super Dry, Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Pilsner Urquell, our Belgian Abbey beer St. Stefanus and Polish brands Lech and Tyskie. This benefits not only our consumers, but also you: our Logistics Manager with the ability to manage the transportation of a prestigious collection of beers from European breweries to the UK. It all hinges on your precision and ability to keep track of our products when they are on the move.

Your key responsibilities within the company will include:

*

Taking responsibility for the operational management of the Primary Distribution function;

*

Managing the quality of beer while in transit;

*

Controlling the delivery process into 3 UK warehouses and to some “direct delivery” customers;

*

Controlling the use of SAP for orders, showing how invoices and purchase orders match up;

*

Acting as the principal Project Manager in the Operations and Service function;

*

Implementing and driving process improvements, constantly making recommendations that better the outcome;

*

Leading two direct reports to provide excellent service, performance and delivery.

Your attitude is key for us. The people who thrive at Asahi UK are individuals who are motivated by challenge, relish an entrepreneurial environment and go beyond the parameters of their job description, to deliver exceptional results. In addition to your distinctive drive, you’ll have:

*

A University degree in a related subject area or discipline;

*

A strong background within an International or European logistics operation;

*

Experience on building relationships in the European market, especially in Italy;

*

Knowledge of inspiring, coaching and supporting direct reports (preferred);

*

A strong understanding of budgets and an analytical mind;

*

A challenger mindset and an ability to shift from analytical to practical;

*

Fluency in European languages (Italian, Dutch or Polish preferred).

At Asahi UK, being just ‘good’ is not good enough. We aim to be super-premium in everything we do. We pride ourselves on our challenger mind-set and entrepreneurial spirit. By owning what we do and approaching our roles with a pioneering attitude we develop not only ourselves but the business as well. Our people are empowered and have opportunities to lead change. This isn’t a walk in, walk out job. You’ll be comfortable and confident interacting with the Italain market network, socialising and representing the business at industry events. Join us and you’ll get a competitive salary and bonus structure, as well as a company contributing pension, medical, dental and life insurance. Not forgetting free parking and your own beer allowance.
