The role of the Logistics Manager is to take responsibility for all aspects of the logistics supply chain, stores management, development and optimization of site logistics solutions to meet the needs of the project. The Logistics Manager will be required to manage the movement of people, goods, and equipment at the construction site and control site facilities management.
The Logistics Manager should ensure that the construction team is fully aware of logistics activities in support of the build program. Embrace a delivery-focused culture and organise resources to enable contract deadlines to be achieved to a usual high-quality finish.
The Logistics Manager on this £60m heavy Structural Refurbishment/Cut & Carve scheme will report to the on-site Project Manager. Key interfaces that the Logistics Manager must ensure early engagement with are: the Project Planner, the Commercial Managers procuring the works, the Health and Safety Manager and the Senior Construction Manager on the site.
A prestigious £60m heavy structural refurbishment/cut & carve to an existing hotel to comprise a new 5-Star hotel for a prestigious global hotel brand. The scheme will commence with a large builders works package, asbestos removal, followed by extensive structural reconfiguration then very high-quality fit out.
Applicants should have experience of managing similar sized heavy structural refurbishment/cut & carve schemes. A knowledge/qualification within engineering / structural engineering would be advantageous along with an experience of hotel projects
Your role will be to manage and coordinate all logistical issues. The job requires liaison with Local Neighbors and the Local Authority to suit the needs of the Project. Main areas of responsibility are managing documentation and plans, site set up and establishment, construction activities and operations and liaison and communication.
The Logistics Manager shall be Site based and report to the Project Manager.
