Chase and Holland are recruiting for a Logistics Manager required to work within a successful haulage business based in the York area of North Yorkshire. This exciting role is to plan and manage pick ups and deliveries across the county and maximise on fleet capacity in line with contractual obligations. Reporting to the Operations Director, key duties of the Logistics Manager will include:
Managing multiple fleet contracts with a variety of clients
Develop and maintain outstanding levels of customer service to ensure that all transport services promote a positive image of the company
Ensuring that agreed client service levels are met
Liaising with the operations and supply chain management to ensure accuracy in forecasting demands
Building and maintaining good relationships with both external and internal stakeholders
Working closely with the Operations Director to identify and implement operational improvements
Producing weekly and monthly KPI reports to ensure close correlation with set requirements
The successful candidate will have a Supply Chain and Logistics background and be commercially aware. You will have strong attention to detail, strong customer service and communication skills and be IT literate. You will have a problem-solving approach to work and be comfortable interacting with various internal and external stakeholders.
