One of the UK’s leading manufacturers (TN postcode) within their specific industry is looking for a Logistics Manager to join their growing team. This is a newly created role following on from the relocation of the company’s primary warehouse.
As their Logistics Manager you’ll take responsibility for Logistics Operations whilst supporting your colleagues in manufacturing, sales, export and customer services. You’ll take ownership of logistics, warehousing and transportation across the business – this will involve directing, optimising and co-ordinating the full order cycle. In addition you’ll negotiate with suppliers, coach the workforce and meet cost and productivity targets.
To succeed in the role of Logistics Manager you’ll need to have logistics management experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment. You’ll need to be of strong character but also one who listens and considers before making decisions.
