We are currently looking for a Regional Plant and Transport Manager to join our team in Alrewas at Tarmac. We’re working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds. This is a varied, complex and rewarding position that requires the candidate will contribute to the development of, and be regionally responsible for the effective delivery of the National Plant Strategy, plans and objectives as well as lead the regional mobile plant department and regional team of fitters to ensure standardised and effective maintenance programmes are in place, in accordance with the policies, processes and procedures developed by the National Plant & Transport Manager taking into account business capacity, margins, financial and contractual risk.
The Regional Plant & Transport Manager will contribute to the delivery of best practice and continuous improvements across the business to ensure full legal compliance with all elements of HGV operation and the companies operators licenses in line with the Office of the Traffic Commissioner and DVSA requirements.
Reporting directly to the National Plant and Transport Manager we would expect the successful candidate to have heavy mobile plant and equipment, engineering knowledge and or experience. Be a CPC Road Transport holder and have a relentless desire and hunger to improve and innovate. As this is a regional role, extensive travel most likely will be required. You must be able to demonstrate a good track record for safety, health and environmental awareness.
