Ideally this person will have or be prepared to study for their CPC as currently they have an O Licence holder in place.
This person will be based in Colchester and will be responsible for the whole of the transport function with 4 direct reports, each of the reports will have a team of people working for them whether that be drivers, admin, admin support or transport staff.
All applicants should have:
* Good understanding of transport and be able to build relationships
* Motivate the team and be approachable
* Most importantly be able to maximise operational KPI output and utilisation, adhere to financial KPI’s and look to drive down costs where possible
This role reports to the Area Transport Manager for the Southern belt, there is no P&L responsibility but there is a strong support network within the business.
Hours of work are (Apply online only) but as with all transport roles there should be an element of flexibility (during peaks times there may be the requirement to work a weekend or 2 but this isn’t on a regular basis)
There will be an element of travel as the successful applicant will be expected to travel to conferences / training etc.
