Zeus Personnel are currently supporting an industry leading, fastest growing hirer of Power Tools, Access Systems & Small Plant in the North of England. Our Client are in the market for a Fleet/Transport Manager.
Due to retirement, Zeus are helping recruit for a Fleet/Transport Manager to join a growing business which has recently acquired two other companies, making them now one of the biggest and best tool, plant and access system hire companies in the North of England. Managing their fleet of 70+ vehicles, mainly vans and pickups but also a couple of LGV’s, which are essential to the smooth operation of the business with it’s many depots. This is a very important role within the company.
We are looking for someone who is well organised and will demonstrate commitment to the highest standard of care for the company vehicles. Your job will include the organisation and control of the following fleet management requirements:
* Vehicle Servicing, Annual Tests, H&S and maintaining the condition of the vehicles
* Updating driver details, driving licence checks, insurance schedule, accident management
* Liaise with maintenance providers, suppliers and others to ensure vehicles are roadworthy
* Involvement in replacement vehicle scheduling and specification
* Keeping maintenance, damage, servicing records
* Drivers hours and tachograph control and management
* Operator’s Licence management and control
* Administration of fines, traffic violations etc
* Reports for Operations Director
* Associated administration and paperwork
The Ideal Candidate
There are two LGV’s to be managed within this role so the ideal candidate will hold a Transport Managers CPC. We are looking for someone coming from a similar background, not necessarily in the plant hire trade, but certainly within a business where you manage or assist with managing a large fleet of vehicles.
