Overview:

*

My client is a highly reputable specialised 3rd Party Logistics organisation who operate within the Food / Dairy / FMCG sector.

*

You have demonstrable strong leadership skills and previous experience of managing a large transport team.

*

You will provide overall leadership for all aspects of the transport operation as well as supporting the overall requirements of the site.

*

You are an experienced Transport Manager with a National CPC qualification.

The Candidate:

*

As the successful candidate you will have demonstrable experience in a similar fast paced and demanding ‘specialised’ Logistics environment.

*

You are a proactive leader with the ability to deliver accurate results under tight and pressured time constraints.

*

You can demonstrate direct experience of managing a transport operation and full knowledge of transport legislation.

*

You have experience within a fast paced specialised transport operation, ideally such as Food / Dairy/ FMCG / Tankers

*

It is essential that you hold a CPC qualification and ideally a IOSH/NEBOSH qualification (not essential)

*

You have experience of managing and leading a large transport team.

*

You are numerate, with experience of delivering targets within budgetary constraints.

*

You have the ability to communicate at all levels.

*

You are able to work on your own initiative and meet required deadlines.

The Role:

You will effectively organise and manage a team of planners, drivers and vehicles.

*

You will look to develop customer relationships, dealing with queries and complaints calmly and decisively.

*

You are aware of all current transport legislation and procedures to ensure company compliance.

*

You will support the performance, personal and career development aspirations of all Managers and colleagues.

*

You will ensure that all Health & Safety processes are adhered to, as well as leading initiatives in quality, efficiency, cost and implementation of action plans.

*

You will continually manage the site to its optimum.

*

You will look to increase customer satisfaction, identifying any process and procedural improvements.
