Our client a global leader in the aviation services industry based in Colnbrook has a new and exciting opportunity for a Transport Manager
Based in Colnbrook
UK Linehaul is an integral part of the UK service structure that ensures the UK is providing an end-to-end performance of 96% or greater at the lowest unit cost possible through maximizing productivity of its assets. This role will develop & manage UK south trunking operations, while keeping direct operating costs in line with activities. Maintaining end-to-end operating service levels within a 15-minute tolerance
Specific Role context
To manage, develop and improve UK linehaul and transport operations for both UK Aviation and DHL International UK Ltd. Driving change and cost reductions while maintaining the highest levels of productivity, efficiency, service and compliance to Network process, legal regulations and policies.
To manage all day to day transport operations.
To hold the site operating license for heavy goods vehicles and be the direct liaison with the relevant authorities.
These will be against set standards and targets, and will require the definition and implementation of actions and plans to improve this performance.
Must be able to lead, manage, motivate and communicate effectively to all levels of Operations staff within his/her facility and also communicate effectively and professionally with all external contacts & customers at all levels
Key focus on achieving service excellence within agreed service levels and cost while maintaining a strong customer facing position and driving improvement in customer satisfaction and performance
University degree in a technical or business discipline.
Post graduate Business Management qualification (MBA)

Experience as a Transport Manager or similar is essential.
Proven experience in Operations/Logistics or similar
Experience of successfully managing a budget in excess of £15m
Transport Manager International CPC Profile:

* £31,000 +shift allowance
* Sunday to Thursday
