Based; St Helens area. Salary up to £60k + car/allowance £6k + bonus + benefits
Our client is a leading third part logistics (3PL) provider of supply chain solutions, partnering many customers across all market sectors. With extensive warehousing, transport, freight and specialist services capabilities, the business can offer end to end and flexible supply chain operations where adding value and optimising efficiencies are key. They are currently recruiting for a commercially minded Transport Manager who will be responsible for all the transport activities operating at this site.
This position requires someone who is focused on engagement and driving efficiencies across the board. Ensuring that the transport activities are managed effectively and that they meet the customers expectations whilst operating within the agreed financial parameters. Reporting into the General Manager, you will take ownership of the client relationship, having daily face to face contact with them, providing them with regular reports and weekly update calls.
Candidates will have a strong transport management background ideally gained within a 3PL or food or FMCG environment.
Must have proven experience in managing change programmes, people engagement and working in highly unionised environment.
Must have managed large team 350+
