Kenect Staff are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Transport Manager to join one of the world's largest logistics company.
The successful Transport Manager will be responsible for managing, developing and improving UK linehaul and transport operations. The ideal Transport Manager will hold their Transport Manager International CPC and have proven experience within a similar role.

Location: Colnbrook, Berkshire
Salary: £31,000 + Shift Allowance
Working Hours: Sunday to Thursday, 14:00 to 23:00


• Provide functional strategic direction, leadership and expertise to Transport Operations
• Build, lead and guide a team to meet strategic targets in line with business goals
• Responsible for the budget for the Southern Distribution Centre linehaul operations
• Define, implement and initiate follow up action on quality, service and cost KPI’s
• Comply with EU Driving Hours Law, Working Time Directive and other regulatory bodies
• Manage agency service level agreements
• Optimise manpower and resources within linehaul ensuring that target levels of productivity are achieved and sustained
• Identify and Implement approved actions to optimise service and cost
• Ensure a safe working environment for staff and lead by example
• Train, develop and support employees career development by setting KPI’s and targets
• Adhere at all time to company policies, service level and quality criteria
• Ensure team cohesion and quality interface with internal customers

Experience & Qualifications:

• Experience as a Transport Manager or similar role within Transport or Operations
• Experience of successfully managing a budget more than £10m
• Transport Manager International CPC
• A Batchelors degree in a technical or business discipline would be advantageous
