South Norfolk Council has an exciting opportunity for a Transport Manager to join the team based in Ketteringham. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and you will be paid a competitive salary of £40,147 - £43,941 per annum.

The Transport Manager role:
You will be responsible for managing the transport activities of the Council ensuring our vehicles, equipment and drivers achieve continuous legal compliance. Lead develop and effectively manage the vehicle/ plant workshop’s team ensuring it is customer focused, responsive, efficient, effective and meeting performance targets.
As our Transport Manager you must have:
- Transport Manager CPC- National
- An excellent understanding of Transport Legislation relating to the Council’s statutory obligations as well as the application of that legislation
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements of a vehicle workshop
- Track record of staff performance management in a diverse organisation
- Ability to balance conflicting service demands against limited financial resources
- Ability to develop and monitor financial budgets for all service users with the ability to report down to individual vehicle level on a monthly basis
