We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Manager to join our team at our Bolton depot. As Transport Manager you will deliver a high quality, cost effective transportation service which consistently achieves within company SLAs, and balances the needs of colleagues in operations, the commercial teams and the overall network.

Ensuring our vehicles and staff conform to every aspect of legislation and company policies will be second nature, as will ensuring that Whistl continues to consistently deliver the highest quality and most cost effective offering for its customers across all products.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Planning of delivers, collections, forecasts and driver availability to exceed our customer expectations.
Full maintenance of fleet in line with all regulatory requirements.
Analysis of Management Information and performance data.
Ensure effective team management by providing clear communication to your team.
Chair and attend meetings with other operational management.

Essential Skills

Experience of management of a team to achieve daily and weekly tasks through organisation, delegation and prioritisation.
Previous experience working with Isotrak or equivalent telematics and tracking software.
Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) National or equivalent Full driving licence as you may be required to travel (HGV Licence an advantage).
Significant knowledge and experience of all transport and driver regulations.
A solution provider in a change culture working collaboratively with other departments to make change happen effectively.
Excellent communication skills to influence internal and external stakeholders.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload to meet conflicting, frequently demanding, deadlines.
Able to interpret financial and performance data in order to draw conclusions, identify opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions.
Proficient in the use of MS Office including intermediate MS PowerPoint, and Excel skills.About Company
