Are you a dynamic, motivated Transport Manager looking to develop your career with a fast growing business?

An exciting opportunity for a dynamic, motivated Transport Manager to help grow the Transport options for a fast growth business. Managing and engaging the team of drivers to work in a consistent, optimal and efficient way to enable the smooth running of a service of over 1500 collections per week. The role includes the cost-effective operation and maintenance of the fleet of vehicles.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent management skills
- Cost management
- Be resourceful, self-motivated and trustworthy
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Have good communication (written & verbal) skills.

The key areas of responsibility are to recruit, manage & develop the team of drivers, supported by a Transport Supervisor, with the aim of delivering a high quality, efficient service to customers, whilst developing & implement a proactive & structured approach to be cost-effective, to manage a compliant fleet & reporting on the efficiency of the collections service to agreed budget & targets.

This role is will be a key member of the management team in line with the priority goals of the business, one objective will be to support the improvement of customer satisfaction by liaising with customers & implementing solutions, by supporting the Transport Supervisor in the planning of collection routes to optimise efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar managerial role in the transport sector, including supervision of drivers, experience of vehicle fleet management, driver compliance for WTD, H&S, with a proven ability to plan & navigate journeys confidently

Ideally a proven experience of managing budgets & reporting, with excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, written & verbal communication skills and be customer service focus.
