Premier Work Support are currently recruiting for a Transport Manager to support the transportation operations of a builder’s merchant.
Experience is required in the transport industry together with a current CPC Card and a current HGV/LGV driving licence.
As part of this role you will be expected to oversee, assist and prepare all vehicle operations and manage a team of 10 drivers. The duties include, preparing vehicle routes on a day to day basis, adhering to all health and safety regulations and ensuring this is monitored. You will also be responsible for keeping track of the vehicles and drivers whilst out on deliveries and ensuring time management is adhered to for the efficient running of the operation for clients.
You will also have administrative duties such as driver reports and organising all repairs, damages, inspections and MOT’s for all vehicles. The purpose of this role is the day to day running of company transport including managing the staff and scheduling workloads.
The successful candidate would ideally have experience in management and building materials.
This permanent position offers full time hours of work being Monday to Friday, 7:15am until 5:00pm.
