Warehouse & Logistics Manager
North Yorkshire (Coast) – Commutable from Whitby, Scarborough, Malton, Driffield
£38,000 - £45,000

Our client is a leading British automotive vehicle manufacturer that is dedicated to producing vehicles that’s quality is recognised as second to none. They are currently looking for an experienced Warehouse & logistics Manager to manage all inbound operations for parts to manufacture.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage to day-to-day logistics operation for all aspects of good inwards, warehousing, outsource and part supply to manufacturing/build lines
• Ensure are parts, components & materials are received, checked, processed and supplied to the production line in and efficient & timely manner
• Looking after a team of X2 supervisor & X20 stores & lines pickers
• Implement continuous process improvements and store management development
• Be responsible for warehouse systems development projects & improvement plans
• Coach, lead & develop all members of the logistics & warehouse team
• Drive the team forward to new goals, implement change & structural develop KPi’s

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Be able to demonstrate achievement in a similar logistics/warehouse manager or manufacturing manager role, in a medium volume, fast paced environment
• Must have project-based skills & experience – warehouse is going through a lot of investment on automated stores systems & equipment – Be used to managing and implementing new things
• A strong character, able to lead the team, implement change and be approachable day-to-day
• Must have experience of putting in new warehouse systems – including planning & development
• Ideally have come from a transferrable inbound warehouse/logistics operation within manufacturing
• Must have time-served experience in a similar role
• Experienced in logistical/material supply methodologies – including lean principles
• Beneficial to have an understanding of ERP & MRP systems
• Knowledge of stock level targets, reporting, warehouse organisation & KPi monitoring
• Able to implement change and reorganisation planning of stores systems
• Willing and able to travel overseas to other sites within the group if needed
• Strong communicator across all functions of the business

Benefits Package:

• Salary:- £38,000 - £45,000
• Benefits:- Private Pension, Life Assurance, 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
• Working Hours:- Monday-Thursday 7.30am-4.15pm & Friday 7.15am-11.30am
