Working in partnership with strategic customers within an account portfolio ensuring appropriate business solutions are negotiated, maintained and enhanced to benefit the Customer and the Company.
The role is also responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with all key contacts within the portfolio.
To achieve business targets and account retention. To maximise opportunities for referrals, affinity schemes, promoting International outbound business and renegotiation targets in line with agreed expectations.
§ Develop and maintain strong working partnerships with strategic customers in order to gain a greater understanding of their individual needs and implement tailored Account Development Plans for each customer
§ To sell the full range of products and services to all customers where these would add further value to the customer and optimise profitable growth
§ To pursue all referral and International outbound opportunities within the portfolio
§ To investigate, co-ordinate and prepare detailed tender documentation when required
§ To be aware of the general economic business climate and its potential impact to key Customers. Identify and report, recommending business solutions where appropriate
§ Renegotiate special agreements up to agreed contribution level with all customers within the portfolio. Formal contracts in place with all Customers.
§ Establish and maintain a regular call cycle with all key contacts within the portfolio
§ Plan and manage time to ensure effective time management and appropriate contact levels with each account to achieve targeted productivity
§ Create and maintain customer records on a daily/weekly basis and complete Customer contact reports and e-mail to attendees and manager within 72 hours of appointment
§ Maintain regular reviews with Executive Sponsors where appropriate
§ Prepare and present detailed weekly and monthly reports as appropriate to customer and internal contacts
§ Liaise effectively with colleagues from all functions in order to optimise business opportunities.
§ To understand and observe the Company’s Quality Policy and to follow all Operational Procedures and working instructions applicable to the job
§ Overall responsibility for the volume and quality of business generated from within the portfolio
§ Ensure up to date knowledge of Company strategy and competitors’ offering
§ Ensure all administration and reports are completed accurately and within the agreed deadlines
§ Ensure all sales tools are completed, maintained and fed back through clear concise reporting
