HYUNDAI Car UK has axed the job of national fleet manager as part of a major strategic reorganisation. The ongoing reorganisation is focused on a regional approach, and the company said the job of national fleet manager, which has been held by Tony Barlow for two years, was no longer required.

He has been offered an alternative position within the company, but it is not known whether he has accepted it. Barlow was instrumental in boosting Hyundai's fleet sales, which this year accounted for 30% of its total sales. He also developed and introduced the company's business user specialist dealer network. Hyundai is expected to announce full details of the reorganisation and how it intends to continue to tackle the fleet industry in the near future.
