VOLVO has revealed a new board of management including a new corporate sales chief in place of Rob Thomas. The changes follow the promotion of Volvo Car UK managing director Charles Hunter-Pease to the post of vice-president network, market area Europe with responsibility for developing the manufacturer's European dealer network.

However, he remains chief executive officer of Volvo Car UK with a prime focus on the strategic direction and planning of the UK business. He will divide his time between Volvo UK's Marlow headquarters and Brussels. The change means that sales and marketing director Gerry Keaney becomes chief operating officer leading an expanded UK management board.

New members are Malcolm Wade, who becomes director of sales and dealer operations which includes responsibility for corporate sales, although a new corporate sales manager is expected to be appointed; Rob Thomas, who gives up the job of corporate sales manager to become director of customer relationship; Craig Fabian, director of marketing communications; and Richard Snijders, director of product marketing and supply operations. John Lefley continues as director of public relations and events and Alf Edlund continues as finance director.
