CITROEN'S new Saxo supermini bridged the north-south divide with sell-out sales in a double debut at ADT's Belle Vue and Blackbushe auction centres. Each sale featured 40 Citroen management cars with 16 1996 N-registered Saxos in both batches.

All 32 Saxos sold at an average residual value of 83%, with highlights including a 1.1i LX 3-door which sold for £6,250 - 85% of cost new - and a 1.1i SX 3-door which sold for £6,700 - or 84.8% of list price. Citroen UK sales and marketing manager for used vehicles Paul Hendrie said: 'Saxo has been extremely well received as a new car, so it is very pleasing to see such a warm response from the professional used car buyers at ADT Auctions.'
