Godfrey Davis offers new scheme

VEHICLE management and contract hire specialist Godfrey Davis has launched a new accident management scheme. The Bushey-based company has teamed up with the Accident Management Company to offer customers two levels of cover: firstly, a claims handling service, and secondly, a full risk management package.

The service will incorporate the ARCS system (Accident Repair Computerised System) which uses the latest digital photography and computer techniques to provide for the remote inspection of accident damaged vehicles. On-site estimators simply take a series of digital photographs of the damage, transmit them via modem to the Accident Management Company, where experts can give same day authorisation for work. This cuts vehicle downtime by reducing time spent waiting for inspection visits, which in turn reduces the replacement vehicle charges.
