THE South East Regional Crime Squad has acquired its first fleet management software system to help with the operation of its largely unmarked police car fleet. And the organisation's decision to acquire Car Fleet Control's Eurofleet system signals a further success for the company in the blue light fleet sector.

SERCS is understood to operate a 'medium-sized fleet' of about 400 vehicles, opted for Car Fleet Control after thorough investigation of competing systems. The squad has headquarters in Vauxhall, London, with branches across its patch of 17,000 square miles. Security concerns mean details of its fleet operations are a closely guarded secret. The new signing follows hot on the heels of Car Fleet Control's formation of a dedicated emergency service fleet department headed by David Levens.
