TWICKENHAM-based Volvo dealership Tamplins has signed a contract to supply 40 vehicles to the NEC Harlequins, one of England's oldest and best-known rugby clubs, as part of a two-year sponsorship deal. The deal means Tamplins, which is part of the Volvo Division of the Pendragon Group, will provide cars for the England and Ireland captains and their players.

Tamplins has supplied a selection of models including a number of Volvo 440s on contract hire. Other vehicles are supplied on a sponsorship basis and include Volvo S40s, V40s and 850s.

The deal was sourced through Volvo Contract Hire which, after research into other contract hire organisations, was found to offer the best value for the club. All the cars then had to be delivered, complete with Tamplins and NEC Harlequins logos, on the same day to make sure the club did not find itself in breach of players' contracts.
