Mercedes signs up with used car package

MERCEDES-Benz has launched a new cover package for used models which it says will offer an attractive disposal and acquisition option for fleets. The scheme, called Signature, will be available at every Mercedes-Benz dealership in Britain and looks set to further boost Mercedes' already strong residual values.

Signature, which will also cover other marques sold by the network, includes a comprehensive inspection of all mechanical and electrical components, as well as tyres and windscreens, and verification of service history. A minimum of 12 months/unlimited mileage warranty cover is available for cars with up to 100,000 miles on the clock at the time of sale - with cover available upon request for higher mileage vehicles.

Mercedes-Benz (UK) director passenger cars Walter Greaves said: 'As our dealers are putting their signature to every car offered, this should give confidence and peace of mind to used car customers. Signature offers benefits from our franchised dealer network that independent used car dealers and private sellers simply cannot offer.'
