RAC Business Services and BSM Fleet Training are integrating to provide a one-stop shop for fleet management services in the new year. BSM was bought by the RAC a year ago for £54.4 and had been operating independently since the buy-out.

Reorganisation will see the two fleet operations linked under Penny Hadfield, RAC director of fleet and accident services. Chris Reynolds, managing director of BSM Fleet Training, is assisting in the integration, and will form part of Hadfield's team when the changes are completed. Customers will now be able to deal with the fleet arm of both companies with one telephone call. It is hoped a fully integrated system will be in place by February.

Both companies will retain their individual identities, but their products will both be sold by the same team of national sales managers. RAC services will be made available in BSM shops and vice-versa. It is not known at this time whether the changes will mean job losses.
