Gardiner switches to contract hire

EUROPE'S largest independent security distributor, Gardiner Security, has switched from outright purchase to contract hire and rental for its 170-strong fleet. The company runs 42 Ford and Vauxhall cars for its sales representatives, and these vehicles will now be contract-hired from Newcourt Automotive Services in a two-year deal.

The remainder of the fleet, all light vans, will be supplied by Kenning Car & Van Rental and Thrifty. Newcourt Automotive Services beat nine other suppliers in a tender to fund and run Gardiner Security's fleet, winning the deal on its competitive pricing, service and use of technology.
