Laguna rumours scotched

RENAULT has denied rumours that the Laguna name will be dropped when the new model is launched at the end of next year. A spokesman said: 'Laguna is a name that will only be six years old next year and we are sure it can continue.

'We didn't change the Clio name when we launched the new model and that name has been around since 1991.' The French manufacturer has also scotched rumours that it was planning to sell Renaults in America.
