TOYOTA is set to introduce a fast-fit operation next year to most of its 233 dealers following a successful pilot scheme. Fast-fit operations will be established within the existing workshops and will sell brakes, alternators, starter motors, exhausts and batteries with prices kept as low as possible through use of the Opti-fit range of Toyota-approved parts.

Ten dealers were involved in the pilot scheme, which demonstrated the potential for Toyota to win back aftersales trade that it had lost to fast-fit companies. When the full programme is rolled out, it is expected to be similar to BMW's Four Plus fixed price menu servicing programme.
