MIKE Wise, managing director of ATS Service and Development, has left to take up a post with fast-fit rival Kwik-Fit. The departure takes immediate effect and has been followed by a management shake-up at the firm this week.

As part of the changes, ATS Euromaster group managing director Roland Combes will become increasingly involved in customer affairs to help focus on the servicing of accounts. Wise, formerly managing director of Euromaster in the Netherlands, was part of the launch team for the £9 million customer service centre in the UK.

Combes said: 'Wise has helped ATS Euromaster win some major new contracts. A new team is being put in place here covering two new business units, light vehicle and heavy vehicle. We are confident the specialisation will place ATS Euromaster in an even stronger position than ever to move forward and remain ahead of the rest of the market in future.'

Kwik-Fit would not comment on the appointment, except to say that Wise had been taken on. He is thought to be working with the firm's operations in Ireland.
