MORE than 75% of fleet chiefs say Fleet Show 2000 - Europe's flagship fleet event - is the 'must attend' fleet event of the year, according to a new survey. With less than four weeks to go until the three-day Fleet Show opens on April 4 at the NEC, Birmingham, a survey of 150 fleet managers who attended the 1999 show reveals they will attend this year's event.

And a further 17% of respondents said they were 'more than likely to attend' next month's event. Show director Chris Lester said: 'We carried out the survey of fleet managers to gauge likely attendance at this year's show and are delighted with the response. The survey shows that fleet managers and fleet decision-makers believe the show is vital to them in helping them run an efficient operation.'

Following publication of the Government's strategy to cut deaths on Britain's roads and with the show taking place soon after the March 21 Budget, Lester said: 'These are key issues for fleet managers to understand. Exhibitors at the show and importantly special Fleet Show Forums will help fleet managers get to grips with both the safety strategy and the Budget as well as other key industry issues.'
