LEX Vehicle Leasing has appointed Kwik-Fit Fleet to manage the authorisation and invoicing of all work on brakes, batteries, exhausts and shock absorbers carried out on the leasing firm's cars.

Kwik-Fit's bureau in Scotland will handle the authorisation contract, using the Translease electronic authorisation system to monitor cost and frequency of repairs carried out by any repairer.

The move adds to a five-year old partnership for solus-tyre supplies and marks the 20th anniversary of the two firms working together.

The solus tyre deal involves a fixed cost monthly maintenance contract and in five years, more than 800,000 tyres have been fitted, with more than a third of Lex drivers now having tyres replaced at home or at the office.
