What does each feature include:

The heading for each feature should give a good idea of what will be covered. Each feature may include interviews with major figures in each part of the industry along with analyses of products and services, but here is a more in-depth guide to what else might be in each one:

Fleet funding/management - This is published in the first issue of each month and is centred around a leasing benchmark survey, covering different popular fleet marques each month. It will also cover all aspects of a fleet decision-maker will need to know about paying for and controlling the fleet.
Dates: Jan 2, Feb 6, March 6, April 3, May 1, June 5, July 3, Aug 7, Sept 4, Oct 2, Nov 6, Dec 4

Green transport: This feature, published on the penultimate issue of each month, focuses on any aspect of running a 'green' fleet. Issues could include alternative fuels, how driving styles can affect fuel economy, alternative transport, such as bus, train or even cycle. New technology will also be included, such as eco-tyres and fuel cells.
Dates: Jan 23, Feb 20, March 20, April 17, May 22, June 19, July 24, Aug 21, Sept 18, Oct 23, Nov 20, Dec 11

Daily rental: Controlling daily rental spend can have a major impact on fleet budgets. This feature covers latest developments in the industry, such as flexible rental schemes, and key issues facing fleet decision-makers, such as insurance, dealing with damage claims and using rental to effectively replace permanent, but under-utilised, fleet vehicles.
Dates: Jan 9, May 15, Aug 28, Nov 27

Risk management: This is one of the most important issues facing the modern fleet decision-maker. This feature will examine options for creating a safer fleet, such as on-road driver training, desk-based training and areas such as vehicle security and claims processing. New legislative developments will also be covered along with any new services allowing decision-makers to reduce the risk drivers face on the road.
Dates: Jan 16, May 8, Aug 14, Nov 13

Disposals: From the moment a new business car arrives on the fleet, an employer and driver can have a massive impact on its value at disposal time. This feature examines the different disposal routes fleets can use to maximise their residual values. It will also cover residual value forecasts and the state of the current used car market.
Dates: Jan 30, April 10, July 31, Oct 30

Fleet services: If a company provides an aftermarket service to fleet decision-makers, it will be covered in this feature. Everything from tyre replacement and other fast-fit products to body repairs and warranty issues will be covered.
Dates: Feb 13, June 12, Oct 9, Dec 18

Fleet technology: Technology is at the heart of many modern companies and fleets are no different. This feature will look at the vast range of hi-tech services and devices available to help a fleet run smoothly, from software, to e-commerce and general technology issues, such as video-conferencing. Other issues covered will include how technology affects fleets, for example through road charging and congestion charges.
Dates: Feb 27, Sept 11

Career Development: Fleet decision-makers have an uphill struggle to make sure their voice is heard and their true value is understood by employers. This feature looks at the training available and the benefits it brings, along with the best practice advice and training available on dealing with some of the trickiest parts of the job, from taxation to coping with downsizing or large scale redundancies.
Dates: March 13, Sept 25

Vans: A regular look at the fast-moving van fleet sector, including interviews with key industry figures, news on the latest developments in products and a look at some of the unique management issues involved in running a company van fleet.
Dates: April 24, July 17, October 23

Motorcycle fleets: An in-depth look at the growing demand for motorbikes among business drivers, particularly in congested cities. Subjects will cover how to get on two wheels, safety issues, equipment, running costs and case studies of fleets that have successfully made the transition.
Dates: March 27, July 10

Global fleet focus: Fleet News sister title Fleet News Europe already covers the continental business market, but this feature is intended to bring together examples of best practice and forward thinking from throughout the world of fleet.
