JAGUAR had its fifth record sales year in a row in 2002, selling more than 130,000 vehicles, an increase of 29% on 2001.
The Coventry-based firm sold 30,000 models in the UK, a rise of 37% on the year before. The X-type made up two-thirds of the total. Managing director Mike Beasley said: 'These figures are the result of our product-led expansion of the last couple of years, and it is very satisfying to see that our hard work is paying off.'
