THE Czech Republic unsurprisingly remains Skoda's biggest market this year, followed by Germany and then the UK.

Latest figures produced by the manufacturer reveal that worldwide sales of the brand topped 335,597 units from January to September this year, up 0.7% from the same period last year.

The best-selling Skoda worldwide is the Fabia with a total of 195,536 units sold, then the Octavia with 123,310 units followed by the Superb with sales of 16,751.

Winfried Vahland, Skoda Auto vice-chairman for economy, said: 'Our sales volume has exceeded last year's level for the sixth consecutive month. We work on the assumption that our brand will progress positively and that we will improve on last year's sales results.'
