GLOBAL fleet management company Fleet Synergy International has installed a new online system that tracks sales leads and customer opportunities with its 25 partners spread across 35 countries including the UK.

It is using the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system from online CRM provider sales force.com. One of FSI's partners using the internet-based system is the UK's biggest leasing company, Lloyds TSB autolease, which operates a fleet of about 160,000 vehicles.

'Our customers are increasingly multinational so it is important that we can share leads, opportunities and customer information globally which is now easier using sales force.com's internet-based CRM,' said Colin Wreglesworth head of corporate customer relationships at Lloyd's TSB autolease.

'It helps boost global customer relationship management and customer service.'

FSI regional sales and marketing director Hans Damen added: 'We selected sales force.com because of ease of use, speed of implementation and low cost compared to other offerings.'

Fleet Synergy International claims to be the world's largest motor fleet management alliance with 600,000 vehicles under management.

'Salesforce.com is a great choice for companies like Fleet Synergy who need to link international operations without the cost and risk of conventional global implementation,' said Fergus Gloster, vice-president, marketing, salesforce.com EMEA.

FSI says that implementing salesforce.com across 35 countries has helped it create a unified presence to its global customers.

Damen added: 'It has strengthened the power of our global alliance because our customers know that we have a consistent and single customer relationship management system which is cohesive and uniform across the partners.'

'Through salesforce.com we have a shared technology and can act as a single global entity while having the power of local and shared knowledge. That consistency is very reassuring for our multinational customers.'
