AUCTION giant BCA has launched a new Auction View Fixed Price service so account holders can buy stock at set prices from throughout the firm's auction network.

A selected range of late model, inspected and prepared vehicles are being offered for direct online purchase from BCA centres. These are vehicles currently awaiting sale and effectively professional buyers have an extra opportunity to purchase physical auction stock.

Buyers can search available stock, see images and catalogue listings and the location of each vehicle.

They can 'lock' a vehicle for a short period, effectively reserving it. Clicking the 'buy' button takes the BCA customer to a secure server to conclude the transaction. The buyer can settle the account at any BCA centre nationwide and can make arrangements to collect the vehicle or have it delivered.

Auction View Fixed Price is also designed to be used in the retail showroom. With the vehicle 'locked', the salesman is free to discuss the deal with the retail customer. The customer can be shown images of the actual car with the retail margin included in the displayed price.

The new service is a natural progression of the long established online Auction View portal, which allows users to search from thousands of vehicles consigned to be sold at a BCA auction, view forthcoming auction catalogues and check out prices achieved at BCA nationwide alongside CAP and Glass's values.

BCA's director customer affairs Tom Madden, said: 'BCA is not simply about auctions. While physical auction is at the core of our activities it is increasingly about providing a total remarketing package through extensive routes to market.'
