THIS year's CAP Regatta saw 12 crews from the automotive industry, including a Fleet News team, battling it out in choppy conditions in the Solent.

Kwik-Fit Fleet secured first place by winning both races, despite one of its crew breaking an arm mid-race. BMW came a close second in both races.

Ian Bissell, managing director at residual value forecaster CAP, said: 'The spirit shown by all the participants is a big part of the Regatta's success. It is a real delight to join many of our key industry partners in combining business with pleasure in such a thrilling environment.'

Professional skippers put the crews through their paces at the event, which raised more than £1,000 for the motor trade charity, Ben.
