THE Forestry Commission has awarded a three-year contract to Lex Vehicle Leasing, in part because of the leasing firm’s environmental policy.

The Commission has announced it will use Lex as its sole contract hire supplier for the 1,500-strong fleet, 200 of which run on liquefied petroleum gas. Geoff Hodgson, fleet engineer at the Forestry Commission, said: ‘Throughout the tender process Lex offered a good combination of value for money and quality of service. Lex has a proactive environmental policy similar to ours.’
