INTERNATIONAL appliance company Groupe SEB has appointed Elite Incident Management as its accident management services provider.

The company's portfolio includes a number of well-known kitchen brands including Tefal, Rowenta, Krups and Moulinex.

Services provided as part of the deal will include 24-hour call centre support, claims management, vehicle repairs, and uninsured loss recovery.

Brian Daley, financial director of Groupe SEB, said: 'Businesses like ours are acutely aware of the dangers of driving while on business and anything that reduces downtime in the event of an accident is clearly of great benefit.

'Internet technology is enabling fleet managers to track the progress of jobs in real time, 24 hours a day through the Elite portal – essential when it comes to counting the cost of a vehicle off the road. Days lost, injuries and high stress levels all contribute to the cost of running a safe and reliable fleet.'
