SEAT has used this week's Madrid Motor Show to unveil its prototype Toledo Prototipo (pictured).

The company said the car previews the looks and characteristics of the production Toledo, scheduled for launch later this year.

A spokesman said: 'The Toledo is the second model in the new-generation SEAT range which was started with the acclaimed Altea.

'It shares much of the Altea's looks and style, but with an more versatile interior and more luggage space.'

It is powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.
